Over the seven years that the exhibition has been running it has gradually become more polished but the ethos has remained the same. Holly Maslen told us, "I set it up initially to encourage a friend to paint but soon realised that the space was too vast for two people to fill. I invited other artists to bring along their work and join the exhibition. The show was such a success that I saw no reason not to carry on the following year. Beaux Arts is all about presenting modern Island artist's work to the public and keeping it affordable." This year Beaux Arts saw over 1000 visitors during the course of the three day event. Beaux Arts will be back next August on Sunday the 20th August to Tuesday 23rd.
