Festival Make-Up Tips

BEING a Make Up Artist at festivals you get accustomed to being asked to apply all sorts of crazy looks, but if you are doing your own make up a simple tip for this season is to blend “glamour and grunge” and keep it low maintenance. Think Pixie Lott, the Smokey eye look achieved by smudged black eyeliner and mascara (preferably waterproof) keeping the rest of your face natural. Or Lily Allen, who constantly experiments with different stage make up, using bright colours and layers of glitter around her eyes, a look that is frequently copied at festivals.
Other popular requests are false eyelashes and liquid/ glitter eyeliner for added glitz. Also under eye concealer and a moisturising lipstick/ balm becomes very popular by day two especially.
Don’t forget to take face wipes to remove make up, a good moisturiser and S.P.F to rehydrate and protect your skin and lastly some dry shampoo to bring your hair back to life.
Festivals are the perfect playgrounds to experiment with make up, so let’s put the glamour into grunge, and indulge!
