Getting inot the Right BRA

With so much emphasis placed on body shape these days, good support from your bra will also help defy any sagging from gravity and aging - especially important for youngsters. Any of you who watch makeover and styling programmes on the TV, will also realise that sagging and drooping adds weight to the tummy area and can add to low self esteem.
A recent survey, in Which magazine, found many High Street stores to be providing a less than excellent measuring and fitting service, so perhaps there are even more people than the 70%, already identified, wearing the wrong size bra! A professional, free measuring and fitting service is offered at Sugar and Spice in Newport, where trained fitters, Sheila and Kate, will be pleased to advise you.
They tell us that the perfect fitting bra can be identified by the
• BACK being firm, lateral and not moving when you move, particularly when bending down or raising your arms
• THE WIRE of the cup being flat in the middle at the front, sitting against your body, going round outside of breast and back onto chest wall
• CUP being full, with no spillage coming over the top, no wrinkling in the cup and your silhouette being smooth.
Given that women’s bodies change regularly, fitting is recommended at least every 6 months and whenever a new bra is purchased.
Many women like to have some basic bras – black, white, skintone, t-shirt style – for everyday wear and beautiful sets for evenings out and occasions. A good stock of the best brands is available at Sugar and Spice.
All are welcome to visit the shop for advice and fitting, either on a walk in basis, or by appointment if you prefer. Alternatively, if you fancy getting together with a few of your friends, a fitting party can be arranged in your home – a fun way to spend an evening with girlfriends.
