THE vintage headwear was a ‘must have’ when the music scene was introduced to the Ska revival, with the likes of
The Specials leading the way. Fast forward more than 30 years and the classic hat is
back in the form of the Maddern Pork Pie hat, named after Keith Maddern. After years of extinction, Christy’s
of London have 500 tailor-made Maddern Pork Pie hats ready to order which will go down well with the Island’s
mod enthusiasts. Sales of the limited edition hat, which will no doubt become a collector’s item, can be found in Boots and Camo of Ryde, with the shop being the only place in the world where people can see the hats in their full glory.
