Pop sensation STEPS announced for Osborne House Summer Concerts 2012
- 28-11-2011
On 28th July 2012 the doors will open to the Isle of Wight’s biggest Pop Party - bringing British pop sensation Steps to the stage at Osborne House Summer Concerts.
Set in the grounds of the breathtaking Osborne House, the three-storey royal seaside villa overlooking the Solent and probably the best known Victorian country House in Britain, will open to the public and will welcome a wealth of pop talent with an action packed weekend.
Dust off your dance moves as Steps is back! After a break of 10 years, the multimillion selling pop band have reunited and will be bringing their household catchy lyrics and dance routines to the Isle of Wight. Singles such as “5,6,7,8”, “Tragedy”, “One for Sorrow” and “Deeper Shade of Blue” will take fans down memory lane and show just how Steptacular they really are!
John Giddings, organiser of Osborne House Summer Concerts and the Isle Of Wight Festival, is thrilled to have teamed up again with Green Eye Events, Riverside Productions and English Heritage to put on this unique weekend. “We are proud to continue the tradition bringing great artists to the grounds of Osborne House and are thrilled that pop sensation Steps are on the bill.”
The stunning 19th century English Heritage location of Osborne House, set in 1000 acres of lush greenery, has proved to be a fantastic setting for the last two years. English Heritage is once again delighted to be hosts. Head of Visitor Operations Henry Barton says: “We are delighted to welcome back the Summer Concerts to Osborne House in 2012 and thrilled to have Steps on the bill as part of their comeback tour. The house and gardens offer such a great back drop for concerts, it should be a great weekend of entertainment.”
Don’t miss out on this unique event. Tickets go on sale on Friday 2nd December and are available from www.ticketzone.co.uk or in person from HMV, Newport, IW & The Blacksheep Bar, Ryde, IW.
