Next Competition

We are very pleased to announce that the next competition is in partnership with the Island’s newest festival, The Wight Proms. This exciting collaboration will see our competition widen to include three categories and a new, one-off prize for the winners. The competition, as always, is open to children, novices, semi-professionals and professionals. The three categories are: Under 18, ages 18-50 and 50+.

If you are one of our lucky winners, your photography will be featured in the Island’s inspirational lifestyle magazine (that’s us), will be displayed as part of ‘Proms Art & Sculpture Exhibition’ at Wight Proms and you will win tickets to the VIP exhibition launch to see your work.

To enter, images need to be submitted to Please title the email clearly with the competition name (theme or prompt), and include your full name, address and contact telephone number. You can enter up to three images, these must be supplied as print quality, high resolution files.

The Wight Proms

18th and 19th AugustĀ 

The Wight Proms is a brand-new annual festival of open-air picnic concerts at Northwood House, Cowes celebrating the Isle of Wight’s music, food and people. It features red squirrels, free arts workshops and the inaugural ‘Proms Art & Sculpture Exhibition’,

Wight at the Musicals – the first of the open air concerts; be transported to the world of musical theatre on Saturday 18th August. The artist line-up will be announced shortly.

Last Wight of the Proms – the festival will reach its climax in a rousing celebration of British music and flag-waving on Sunday 19th August. The headline acts are Classical Brit Award-winners Blake, Downton Abbey Songstress Mary-Jess and the Isle of Wight Promenade Orchestra, conducted by the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra’s Jonathan Butcher, plus support acts from the Island.

Tickets are now on sale with ‘Early Bird’ discounts until the end of May. Picnic hampers containing delicious IOW produce can be pre-ordered when purchasing tickets.
